BDO Council Member
Over the course of career, Vita has worked with public, private and non-profit entities in widely diverse industries including manufacturing, distribution, technology, financial services, healthcare and real estate.
Vita’s experience includes corporate, partnership, and individual taxation, as well as mergers and acquisitions, international tax planning. She has extensive experience in the areas of acquisition due diligence procedures, private equity transactions, acquisition and divestiture transactions, net operating loss limitations, and consolidated tax return filings. She has helped clients develop tax-planning strategies focused on deferring and minimizing tax and accumulating wealth.
Vita regularly participates as a speaker at local and international conferences, reporting on current legislative issues. She is the founder of the Latvian Public and Private Partnership Association (PPPA).
She holds a master’s degree in International law from the prestigious New York University. As International Liaison Partner for the firm, Vita is also responsible for communication and international business development across the BDO worldwide network.
Vita has also been active in a leadership capacity for many community, charity and professional organizations.
MERHELS Associate partner
Martins has worked for PwC and Deloitte for many years in a variety of fields including audit, consulting and financial advisory. Since 2006 Martins has been working as a financial advisor on M&A transactions and has been involved in a range of transactions in real estate and other sectors covering all Baltic countries as well as Russia. In 2009 Martins joined DNB to lead its financial restructuring department. In this position he helped to close a signicant number of restructuring transactions involving different stakeholders and managed 250 million euro loan portfolio with significant share of real estate investments. Since 2012 he has been working as an independent financial advisor with a focus on real estate development, financial and operational restructuring of Latvian companies.
All investment projects on our marketplace are carefully selected before made available to investors. Every Bulkestate deal goes through a rigorous, consistent and multi-tiered evaluation process by Investment committee that involves uber-experienced team. Our investment committee members are Vita Liberte (BDO Council Member) and Martiņš Zutis (an ACCA qualified accountant and financial advisor with more than 20 years of professional experience). Bulksestate's partner is BDO – an international network of public accounting, tax and advisory firms.
Investors funds are kept safe in an escrow account that is separated from Bulkestate operational bank account. If fundraising/crowdfunding project isn't successful and investment goal isn't reached, developers do not suffer any losses.
While we make every effort to safeguard our client investments and returns, every investment project involves risks, which at times may have significant adverse effect on the performance of respective real estate project and may result in loss of a part of entire investment.
How Bulkestate works?
Our main priority is 100% customer satisfaction and enabling the right choice for our investors. All Bulkestate deals (whether investment projects or property deals) are transparent, secure and are subject to any requirements specified by law.
The cost of our services is included in the deal price. It means that for group buying offers purchase price already includes cost of our services and there will be no separate fee. For investment projects the expected return on investment represents income after cost of our services.
